Description
Lot 10 - Lochaber (Responsive Chainsaw Operations) This lot shall include the following core services: Tree felling Road line felling Regen clearing Diseased tree clearance Road clearance Oversized tree felling Clearing wind blow Clearance of hazardous trees Minor harvesting support Conversion of felled trees into marketable timber Cross cutting into lengths Sned out and leave arisings on the ground Use of hand winch Tractor/agricultural mounted powered winch or line skidding operations Traffic management including stop/go boards, provision of a banksman, provision of traffic lights Tree removal prior to, during, and after peatland restoration works – trees to be felled, delimbed, and material removed from within 5 metres of a watercourse. Brashing Use of towed chippers and self-propelled tracked/wheeled chippers with trained operatives
