What this site shows
When a UK public body (a council, NHS trust, university, government department or school) awards a contract above certain values, it must publish a notice on the government's Find a Tender service. Those notices are public, but they are hard to search and harder to compare.
This site reads every contract award notice as it is published and organises it around the questions people actually ask: which company won? How much is it worth? Who else does this buyer use? Was there a competition?
It is useful if you sell to the public sector and want to know who your competitors are winning work from, if you write bids, if you are a journalist or councillor following public spending, or if you are simply curious where the money goes. Read how the data works, including its limits.
