Description

The ReStart Project delivers an ambitious and innovative integration support programme for refugees, primarily in Wales’ four asylum dispersal clusters (Cardiff, Swansea, Newport and Wrexham). The project improves access to language tuition, employability support and local cultural knowledge to aid integration. Refugees receive a holistic assessment of their needs and are routed through targeted support to enhance their efforts to integrate into society. The project plays a key part in the Welsh Government’s commitment to develop a ‘Nation of Sanctuary’. This contract plays a major part in the project, aiming to procure suitable service provision (the ReStart: Refugee Integration Service) for Refugees between 1 April 2021 – 31 December 2021, operating primarily in Cardiff, Swansea, Newport and Wrexham. Opportunities to deliver aspects of the service in other appropriate locations across Wales will be sought but the same service is not expected to be available outside of these four areas. Successful delivery of the service will require strong collaborative working and well established governance procedures.
