Description

DHSC is undertaking a procurement process using the open accelerated procedure for the purpose of procuring vitamin D food supplements for care homes. This procurement will concern the supply of Vitamin D food supplements. Vitamin D is needed for healthy bones and muscles and during autumn and winter, everyone is advised to take a vitamin D supplement of 10 micrograms. DHSC wishes to procure vitamin D for vulnerable population groups. This is because they may have been indoors more than usual this year and therefore it is even more important to take a vitamin D supplement as we go into the winter months to protect musculoskeletal health.
