Provision of Technical Support Services for Tendering Design for Compliance and Science Vessels

Description

Marine Scotland are intending to have a tendering design developed with a view to procuring a new vessel in the near future and as a result wish to develop a tendering technical specification and its associated plans for the new vessel which will be used as part of the tendering documents for the shipyards. The project will be split into a number of discreet stages, though an iterative approach to the project will be imperative, for example, as follows: U. Review and development of Statement of Requirements; V. Feasibility Study for fuel/powering arrangements; W. Conceptual GA (General Arrangement) drawing; X. Hull design and powering; Y. Deck and equipment arrangement; Z. Accommodation arrangements; AA. Wheelhouse layout; BB. Machinery arrangements; CC. Displacement calculations; DD. Lightship weight estimates; EE. Stability calculations; FF. Review; GG. Resistance, power, sea keeping, environmental noise and maneuvering modelling; HH. Development of full technical specification for design and build tender; II. Regulatory and Class assessment and check; JJ. Estimate of build costs; KK. Preparation of plans, drawings and documents for design and build tender; LL. Assist with the evaluation of build bids, including yard visits; MM. Design and drawing approval during design and build contract; NN. Provision of supervisory staff throughout the build and trials stages at shipyard (working with Marine Scotland Staff).
