Description
Hywel Dda University Health Board's (HDUHB) Digital Directorate have awarded a contract ) to upgrade their existing Horizon Cardiology Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS). The requirement is considered essential to ensure continuity of cardiology diagnostic services, maintain clinical safety and support future strategic developments in cardiovascular information management across NHS Wales. The current platform is scheduled to reach end of vendor support in December 2026. Following this date, the system will no longer receive software updates, security patches, technical support or manufacturer assurance which means this upgrade is pivotal to ensure services continue and patient care is not interrupted.
