Description

NHS Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire Integrated Care Board is publishing this notice as confirmation of an award having been made due to an urgent circumstance which best mitigates any risks to care and safety of the patient to Oxford Health Specialist Psychological Intervention Centre (OHSPIC). The individual placement is required as the person presents with OCD and dermoatillomania at level of complexity and severity unresponsive to the usual NHS psychological and/or psychiatric treatment approaches and requires highly skilled and specialist treatment provision. Currently commissioned services have acknowledged that they do not have the specialists within their services to effectively to provide treatment. Intervention at this stage due to the severe life limiting impact on their mental health, they would benefit from receiving specialised treatment so the OCD and dermoatillomania is prevented from becoming an ongoing and chronic difficulty.
