Description
Brent Council is required to secure the provision of a Parent and Infant Mental Health Peer Support Service in Brent. The service will provide one-to-one support to parents and carers with mild mental health difficulties and parent–infant relationship difficulties. This may be through a peer-support service or staff with appropriate additional training and offering support to fathers and co-parents/carers as well as mothers. The Council currently has an existing contract in place provided by Home Start Barnet, Brent, Enfield, and Harrow. The current contract was entered into in January 2024 for a period of seventeen (17) months. The contract was then varied and extended for a period of twelve (12) months and was due to expire on 31 March 2025.
