The Cardiff and Vale University Health Board (CAVUHB) Neurodevelopmental Service provides a specialist diagnostic assessment for children and young people with neurodevelopmental disorders. This specialist expertise is provided in the form of assessment and management of children and young people up until the age of 18 years with complex neurodevelopmental disorders. Neurodevelopmental assessments are used to diagnose neurodevelopmental conditions like attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) or Autism. Due to a significant increase in demand, the Health Board is seeking to implement additional clinical resource to undertake appropriate diagnostic assessments for Neurodevelopmental conditions including autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
