Awarded without open competition
Awarded without open competition. The buyer went directly to one or a few suppliers instead of advertising the contract. Procurement rules allow this only in specific cases, such as extreme urgency, when only one supplier can do the work, or for call-offs from an existing framework.

Description
An appropriate general adolescent unit to meet the particular complex needs of a young person with severe learning disabilities. Specification codes: 170022/S - General Adolescent Services (GAU) including specialist eating disorder services and appendix 2 C07/S/a - Tier 4 CAMHs In-Patient Learning Disability Service. The contract has been awarded without prior publication of a call for competition, due to the urgent requirement for a placement at an appropriate GAU for a patient with severe learning disabilities, to address immediate risks to safety and quality of care. The sub-contract commenced on 20 August 2026 and will cease on 19 February 2027. The contract value of £500,000 is indicative, as all admissions are on a cost per case basis, including any exceptional packages of care.
