Description
UKAEA uses a self-hosted GitLab CE instance to manage and ensure quality against our internally developed software. It has broad usage, with 1500 users and close to 8000 projects. However, we have been tied to an out of support version (13.1.11) for the past three years, with a project to migrate the instance to new infrastructure and upgrade to newer versions running for the past year and a half. The project is nearing a phase where we can run a stable installation on the new infrastructure with data migrated from our existing instance. We are looking to supplement the team with deep GitLab knowledge to provide assurance that the migration and upgrade pathway is suitable for implementation. We expect the scope of the work to include: Familiarisation with our existing GitLab instance, running on a single node + runners, with git repositories mounted over NFS.
