Description

There is an ongoing and increasing need for accessible welfare, debt and benefit advice. The original service was introduced after residents were experiencing waits of up to three months, and demand has since resulted in appointments becoming fully booked and a second adviser being funded. Continuity is important for residents who may be vulnerable or unable to complete forms without support. A break in provision would delay access to advice, benefit maximisation and wider practical support.
