Description
The properties included in LAD 1 project were generally semi-detached and mid-terrace bungalows, some houses were also included. All properties included are of traditional masonry construction (cavity walls) wither face brick or painted render finish with duo pitch roofs with either a tile or natural/artificial slate roof covering. All the properties were on either electric Economy 7 or solid fuel heating/hot water. The work required varies from property to property generally comprising of the following: • Heating upgrades (ASHP or high-performance storage heaters i.e. Dimplex Quantum). • Solar PV. • External wall insulation e.g. cavity wall insulation (Thermabead) or external wall insulation. • Roof/loft space insulation (generally top up of existing). • Replacement windows/external doors. • Draught proofing.
