Description
This contract has been awarded via further competition under the UKNNL NNLC484D - Operations, Site Work and Facilities Management Dynamic Purchasing System. Background UKNNL is the government's lead civil laboratory for nuclear fission. We provide the science, technology and world-leading laboratories to support the country's civil nuclear programmes and ensure they are delivered safely and cost-effectively. UKNNL is the custodians of national nuclear research, development, capabilities and infrastructure, with the value of the nuclear facilities we manage totalling £2bn. The Laboratory spans across the UK with a mixture of office and laboratory facilities. Our Laboratories are: - Workington Laboratory - Central Laboratory - Windscale Laboratory - Preston Laboratory It is these laboratories which need external supply chain support to be maintained, upgraded and repurposed.
