Description
Hampshire County Council's Education Catering service provide 378 primary schools and 19 secondary school in Hampshire with school meals. Approximately 3000 children of those who partake in school meals, have registered medical allergies. This requires a service of a GDPR compliant online platform for the safe management, creation and administration of special diet menus for pupils with allergies or intolerances that wish to eat a lunch meal at a primary school who's catering is managed by Education Catering. The system is used for parents to provide information to schools to upload onto the portal, in order that Education Catering can manage their menu planning and production to avoid allergen risks for those children. Education Catering is to cease from the end of March 2026 and the school meals service will be outsourced, after which a central allergen portal will not be required. The contract has been awarded by way of a Single Tender Action to the incumbent provider.
