Description
The youth justice service is currently undergoing development work to improve services to children, families and victims in anticipation of a forthcoming inspection by His Majesty's Inspectorate of Probation. HMIP have introduced a new inspection framework which has introduced significant changes to the criteria and standards by which HMIP judge the quality of work to keep children and the community safe. Following some audit of case work with children, families and victims the service now need to carry out deeper audits alongside practice change and specialist training to ensure the workforce is appropriately trained and equipped to ensure safety planning for children and victims of children is robust and in adherence with the new national standards (including the Victims Code of Practice).
