Awarded without open competition
Awarded without open competition. The buyer went directly to one or a few suppliers instead of advertising the contract. Procurement rules allow this only in specific cases, such as extreme urgency, when only one supplier can do the work, or for call-offs from an existing framework.

Description
Completed a compliant procurement by conducting a further competition through the Crown Commercial Services (CCS) RM6168 Estate Management - Lot 5 Valuation and Compulsory Purchase Orders (CPO). The purpose of the Property consultant is to provide specialist property advice to the Mining Remediation Authority in order to facilitate strategic land assembly, including interests and rights, for the delivery of a new MwTS and associated solar scheme at the former Langton Colliery (to be known as Langton MwTS). Timescales have been identified as urgent by our Environment Team with the critical date for operational delivery of the scheme, to prevent environmental impacts, being identified as Q1 2029. All rights and interests in land need to be secured by 31 March 2027.
