Description
The requirements of the contract are for a 13-month contract for: • the provision of a Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) to process and sort collected materials; • Gateshead Council has a designated delivery point to which it delivers the materials collected from household recycling bins. The Contractor will be responsible for the collection of the materials from the designated delivery point for transfer to its appropriate facility for processing; • South Tyneside will provide its own delivery point from which the contractor will transfer the delivered authorised material to its appropriate facility for processing; • the transfer of the segregated materials to suitable merchants or reprocessors; • the provision of a complete record of all materials delivered, the interim processors/outlets and the ultimate destination of each material; • monthly analysis of the materials carried out in accordance with the MRF Code of Practice.
