Awarded without open competition
Awarded without open competition. The buyer went directly to one or a few suppliers instead of advertising the contract. Procurement rules allow this only in specific cases, such as extreme urgency, when only one supplier can do the work, or for call-offs from an existing framework.

Description
For the provision of an online STI testing service for the local community. The platform allows for the online ordering of STI kits, which are then dispatched via post to the service user. Samples are then returned to the laboratory for testing and negative results are communicated to the service users via the platform. Those with positive results that require treatment would be managed via the local services (Sefton & St Helens) using the clinical portal. Additional information: This contract has been awarded under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award.
