Description
The Digital and Health Intelligence (D&HI) Department require the continued provision of a Cloud Voice SIP Service and Channel Connection as part of the delivery of their core services. The existing solution was originally implemented to replace legacy telephony infrastructure (over 30 years old) as part of the national PSTN switch-off programme, transitioning to resilient, internet-based circuits that provide enhanced reliability, flexibility, and manageability. The current contract was awarded via a Direct Award under the RM3808 Network Services 2 Framework, following a benchmarking exercise which identified a limited number of suppliers capable of meeting the Health Board’s technical and resilience requirements. BT PLC was appointed as the successful supplier, offering the most economically advantageous solution while maintaining independent network infrastructure.
