Awarded without open competition
Awarded without open competition. The buyer went directly to one or a few suppliers instead of advertising the contract. Procurement rules allow this only in specific cases, such as extreme urgency, when only one supplier can do the work, or for call-offs from an existing framework.

Description
This resource offers a unique focus on psychological and behavioural research, providing access to over 2,500 journal titles. This depth and specialisation cannot be fully replicated by other resources within our current portfolio. It is essential for all psychology courses and research activity. It is also heavily used across a range of disciplines, including social work, public health, criminology, occupational therapy, mental health nursing, and paramedic practice. The cost and time of change would outweigh any savings from a procurement exercise. The value has already been established through the use of the JISC Framework. The value is below the threshold of £207,720,00 including VAT required for tendering under the PA2023 and PCR2015 procurement regulations.
