Awarded without open competition
Awarded without open competition. The buyer went directly to one or a few suppliers instead of advertising the contract. Procurement rules allow this only in specific cases, such as extreme urgency, when only one supplier can do the work, or for call-offs from an existing framework.

Description
Oliver Cromwell's House is a listed Grade 2* building. The proposed works are to replace a cill beam at first floor level on the front elevation with associated repairs to the adjoining studs and floor joists. This includes the removal of the ceiling from the front ground floor room currently used as the tourist information centre to allow for woodwork treatment. This is specialist work due to the nature of the building.
