Description
A F20 Modification Notice cannot be published at this time. However, to ensure transparency and compliance with legislative requirements, the details of the modification are set out below. By transfer deed dated 31 March 2023 Network Rail Infrastructure Limited transferred a piece of land to Wakefield Council which includes the structure of bridge deck, which is a single structure which runs under and supports the East Coast Mainline ("Bridge Deck"). The transfer provides that Wakefield Council (and any successor in title) will be obligated to repair Bridge Deck. The Information Memorandum ("IM"), released alongside the Selection Questionnaire ("SQ"), set out Wakefield Council's position on Bridge Deck which confirmed that Bridge Deck would transfer to the successful bidder, as part of the Old Westgate Station Hotel development, with this position to be set out in the contractual documents.
