Nurse call systems are an important life safety system which have a direct impact on patient services and safety, these systems are located in patient areas and allow patients to summon nursing assistance at the bed space or nursing location, and for the clinical staff to communicate remotely with the patient and with each other which is an essential life safety component of bedhead services. Due to the specialist service of nurse call systems there are a small number of recognised service providers who have the resource, technical expertise and maintenance coverage that healthcare facilities require.
