The proposed service will deliver a range of important outcomes that will significantly enhance the quality of life for individuals with palliative and end-of-life care needs and their carers. This includes enhanced therapeutic support, such as Occupational Therapy and Complementary Therapy, which are essential in helping individuals manage symptoms and maintain independence for as long as possible. Service users will also have access to emotional and practical support through social workers, helping to alleviate concerns relating to finances, housing and future planning. This is particularly important given Hull's high levels of deprivation, being ranked as the fourth most deprived local authority area in England according to the 2019 Index of Multiple Deprivation.
